Change of course at Genoa airport. After two years, the president of Cristoforo Colombo, Professor of Transport Economics at the University Enrico Musso, will not be reconfirmed. The news comes from sources close to the shareholders, the Port System Authority and the Chamber of Commerce, as reported by the Ansa Agency.

Musso has called a board of directors meeting for Monday, which in turn will have to convene the shareholders’ meeting to appoint the new president and board members.

The outgoing president was appointed in 2024 by the then commissioner of the Authority, Massimo Seno, in the aftermath of the investigation that led to the arrest of the president of the Authority, Paolo Emilio Signorini, and the then governor of Liguria, Giovanni Toti. His mandate expired with the approval of the 2025 budget but is under prorogatio. Under Musso’s leadership, the company managing the Genoa airport was rehabilitated, and the airport reached a record of one million and 580 thousand passengers.
