
On Saturday, clashes broke out between Israeli settlers and Palestinians near the city of Huwara in the West Bank. This was reported by the i24NEWS website. The Israeli settlers had arrived in trucks, accusing the Palestinians of cattle theft. Furthermore, a video circulated showing an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier assaulting a Palestinian, apparently also near Huwara.

The clash erupted after the group reportedly found part of the missing flock inside the Palestinian village. Palestinians and Israeli settlers then threw stones at each other, and according to some sources, several Palestinians were injured.
Footage taken at the scene shows masked men damaging vehicles, while Palestinian sources report acts of vandalism against property and cattle theft.

The Israeli army (IDF) also stated that it is “aware of footage showing an IDF soldier using violence against a Palestinian. The actions depicted in the footage are serious and inconsistent with IDF values. The incident is under review. Once the soldier is identified, they will be subject to disciplinary proceedings and appropriate disciplinary and command measures will be taken based on the results of the investigation.”
Police said the Judea and Samaria District has opened an investigation. Officers and forensic investigators entered Huwara with military forces to collect evidence, findings, and testimonies, police said, adding that those responsible for violence and property damage will be prosecuted.
