The Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office confirms its positive opinion on the pardon for Nicole Minetti. From the investigations carried out, writes the Milan Public Prosecutor Francesca Nanni in a note stating that the results of the new analyses were transmitted to the Ministry of Justice today, “it appears that the facts reported in the press news from which this supplementary activity originated do not correspond to the truth and that no facts conflicting with the already acquired evidentiary framework” regarding Minetti’s pardon request have emerged. In essence, the Public Prosecutor confirms a positive opinion on the pardon granted by the President of the Republic in February. Nanni followed the investigations with deputy Public Prosecutor Gaetano Brusa.

Public Prosecutor on Minetti’s pardon: «statements about parties denied»
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, there are no “reports of crime or judicial proceedings or involvement in investigations of any nature in Uruguay and Spain concerning Nicole Minetti and Giuseppe Cipriani“. The statements about parties with drugs and sex in which Nicole Minetti allegedly participated in recent years are “denied” by “numerous statements taken during defensive investigations” and by “statements made to the Carabinieri by persons informed of the facts”, as reported “to Il Fatto Quotidiano by the masseuse”. And “no irregularities emerge in the adoption procedure” of the minor.
In particular, the long note states, “contrary to what was reported in Il Fatto Quotidiano, it appears that the death in unclear circumstances does not concern the lawyer of the adoptive child’s parents, but rather the lawyer of the latter, who was in favor of the adoption, in whose procedure there was no legal battle, as the natural parents did not appear, represented by the public defender, and the biological mother of the minor had always been untraceable”. The Public Prosecutor in Uruguay “reported, in relation to the death of the minor’s lawyer, that there are no hypotheses of crime”.

Furthermore, no “irregularities emerge in the adoption procedure recognized in Italy by the Juvenile Court of Venice”. And “there are no reports of crime or judicial proceedings or involvement in investigations of any nature in Uruguay and Spain concerning Nicole Minetti and Giuseppe Cipriani”. Moreover, “the serious health condition of the minor being treated at Boston Children’s Hospital, which requires the mother’s presence during check-ups and therapies, is confirmed, as is the prior consultation at hospitals in Cleveland and New York, as well as in Italy”.

And again: “Minetti’s volunteering in Italy and her almost stable presence in Italy from January 2024 and throughout 2025 is confirmed, except for brief returns to Uruguay”. In addition, “statements about parties with drugs and sex in which Nicole Minetti allegedly participated in recent years, statements originally made to Il Fatto Quotidiano by the masseuse, first anonymously and then with her name indicated, are denied – it reads – by numerous statements taken during defensive investigations, as well as by statements made to the Carabinieri by persons informed of the facts”. Nanni also clarifies that “international rogatory letters were not used for investigations as the treaty on judicial cooperation in criminal matters between Italy and Uruguay, ratified by law no. 45 of April 22, 2022, is aimed at acquiring evidence or elements of proof during criminal proceedings”.
