In the first three months of the year, the group delivered 89 million parcels, the highest figure ever, with an increase of 14.6% compared to the same period in 2025. This e-commerce trend, moreover, is not surprising, after recent surveys by the Customs and Monopolies Agency.

38 million deliveries by postmen
But the most significant figure, which tells the strategic direction of the company, concerns deliveries made directly by postmen: 38 million in the quarter, with a growth of 21.9% year-on-year. A pace that exceeds the overall sector and is not the result of chance, but of a precise industrial vision.
The strategic plan “The connecting platform” aims to make postmen the beating heart of the last-mile distribution network. The objective is ambitious: by 2028, deliveries entrusted to this professional figure must represent two-thirds of the total volume of parcels delivered.
Green progress
Alongside the growth in volumes, Poste Italiane is pursuing its green agenda. The logistics fleet now has 30,000 low-emission vehicles, of which 6,200 are completely zero-emission. The Green Delivery project also fits into this direction, designed to reduce CO2 emissions through a centralized delivery logic. Customers can choose from a widespread network of collection points: the approximately 12,700 post offices in the area, plus approximately 20,000 points between the Punto Poste Network and Lockers.
