The numbers
In 2025, in Veneto, validations, i.e., the measures by which the Inspectorate verifies the voluntariness of resignations or consensual terminations submitted by working mothers and fathers within the first three years of the child’s life (i.e., in the protected period), amounted to 8,500, equal to 14% of the national total, and in 60% of cases concern working mothers.
