An important meeting was held this morning at the Rovereto City Hall that marked the beginning of the planning for the new Innovation Festival, which will once again place the City of the Oak at its center. Achille Spinelli, Vice President and Councillor for Economic Development, Labor, Family, University, and Research of the Autonomous Province of Trento, who strongly supported the launch of the initiative since the first edition in 2023, reiterated the importance of a moment of national debate and discussion on innovation topics, involving the entire system of research, education, culture, and local businesses.

The important experience gained with the Wired Next Fest Trentino had the merit of opening a media window from 2023 to 2025 on the Trentino research and innovation system, and an opportunity for dialogue between the territory and the most important realities on the national and international scene. With the closure of the Wired Italia publication, a fruitful collaboration that launched the Innovation Festival in Trentino comes to an end. A heartfelt thanks goes to the Condé Nast group and Wired Italia for the shared journey over these three years.
The Trentino system, strengthened by this experience, is now preparing to build a new event, which will take place in October 2027.

The Il Sole 24 ORE Group will be among the partners of the new project and will contribute to the design, scientific, and editorial definition of the initiative. The development of the event will continue in the coming months with the involvement of institutional, scientific, and economic actors of the territory, and will open up to other qualified collaborations.
Since its inception, the initiative has been designed to create a place for discussion and in-depth analysis open to businesses and the general public, while also enhancing Trentino as a laboratory of innovation and a platform for relationships between institutions, research, entrepreneurial realities, young people, and citizens. The new project once again places the city of Rovereto and its scientific and technological hubs at the center of the debate on how innovation and digital transformation are changing production systems, education, and the future of communities.
