It is an initiative of the Municipality of Naples and Invitalia, which launched a “call for ideas” with the support of the America’s Cup aimed at startups, spin-offs, and individuals with innovative projects dedicated to the blue economy and, in particular, to the world of sailing and related sectors: tourism, mobility, sports, sustainability, safety, and smart city.

The initiative is part of the enhancement path of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup and aims to transform the great sporting event into an accelerator of innovation, economic growth, and attractiveness for the Neapolitan territory. Up to 20 innovative ideas will be selected, presented by individuals or by startups and spin-offs established no more than six months before the publication date of the call. For the selected projects, a six-month path will open, hosted within the technological laboratories of the Municipality of Naples at the Real Albergo dei Poveri, designed to accompany ideas from business model definition to validation, from prototyping to market positioning.
