Italy at the center of development
The main acquisitions in the first half of 2026 were indeed focused precisely in Italy, as well as in Romania, Germany, and Latvia. Among the main acquisitions in our country, we recall the VGP Park Reggio Emilia Gavassa: the land, with an area of 161 thousand square meters and a building potential of 72 thousand square meters, is located a short distance from the A1 motorway exit, along the axis connecting Milan, Reggio Emilia, and Bologna. A strategic position, in a dynamic and densely populated area, characterized by a strong industrial vocation and able to guarantee easy access to the main urban centers of Emilia-Romagna.
The Data Center business
Another rapidly growing area for VGP, in which Italy can play a fundamental role, is that of Data Centers: the group has in fact signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the creation of a pan-European platform dedicated to the development of these facilities together with a partner specialized in the development, financing, and management of such platforms. VGP will provide its local know-how and the relevant development pipeline which initially includes the projects of Paderno Dugnano, in the Milan area, and Rüsselsheim, near Frankfurt, both in advanced stages of obtaining the necessary energy capacity and related authorizations. VGP currently intends to maintain a 50% stake both in the operating company and in the joint venture owning the assets.
