Giorgetti signs the decree on mobile excise duties, discount on diesel until August 26

The 17-cent discount on diesel excise duties will be in effect until August 26. The Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti, in agreement with the Minister of the Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, signed the ministerial decree that activates the mobile excise mechanism – which uses the VAT extra revenue – extending the discount already provided by the government’s latest decree law by two days – August 25 and 26 – instead of just one day as initially announced.
