Invitalia, the 2025 budget closes with a profit of 9.16 million

The account is back in the black: 9.16 million euros in profit for Invitalia’s 2025 financial statements, approved yesterday by the assembly. The figure rises to 12.3 million if one looks at the group’s consolidated financial statements, the framework that includes subsidiaries.

Behind the accounting figures, the agency claims a broad scope of intervention: over 62,000 business projects supported during the year and 22.7 billion euros in investments, public and private, activated thanks to its intervention. An activity concentrated, as per mandate, especially in the South.

On the tenders front, where Invitalia operates as a contracting authority and awarding station, 2025 records 303 tender procedures published for approximately 3.3 billion euros. Of these, however, only 263 were awarded, for a total value of approximately 1 billion: just under a third of the value put out to tender in the same period therefore finds a conclusion within the year, a discrepancy that reflects the technical times of the procedures more than a slowdown, but which remains an indicator to be monitored in subsequent years.

A separate chapter for support to industrial crises: by assisting the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy in crisis tables, the agency carried out 21 interventions with the Business Safeguard Fund and the Grow South Fund, for a total of 78.9 million euros, using participatory instruments between equity and debt.

Finally, Invitalia claims a role in supporting the administrative capacity of the Public Administration on 67 community and national operational programs, as well as a significant contribution to the implementation of the most complex PNRR projects, where the agency acts as a center of expertise in program management.
